Julie is the Director of TZG Heritage and Adaptive Reuse. An inspirational architect, she has specialised in a modern approach to heritage architecture for over two decades. Her multidisciplinary skill set sees her balance the future-built realm with the fabric of the past. Julie has been recognised as an outstanding heritage professional and was awarded the Cathy Donnelly Memorial Award in 2006. Julie was Project Architect on several high-profile, award winning, projects including the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, Carriageworks Performing Arts Centre, Paddington Reservoir Gardens, Casula Powerhouse Regional Arts Centre, and Eternity Playhouse. She has also led the Heritage & Adaptive Reuse team on major projects such as the restoration and conservation of the Bondi Pavilion, Bayanami Public School, the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence, and the Rum Hospital at NSW Parliament House. Julie’s principled work, clarity of thought and strong working relationships with authorities have made her a trusted resource for heritage advice at a local and state government level. Recent examples include Heritage Frameworks to guide development of the Botany Road Corridor and the renewal of the Circular Quay and Central Station precincts.

TZG acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, on whose land we work and pay our respects to Elders past, present and future. We are committed to a just, equitable and reconciled Australia and support the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
