  • Country Gadigal
  • Location Glebe, NSW
  • Year 2013 - 2018

As part of an multi-disciplinary team to develop a new 3.8ha public open space located on the site of the former Harold Park Paceway, Tonkin Zulaikha Greer designed a group of picnic shelters for a greater park area designed by JMD Design. Nestled at the bottom of the Cut that overlooks Harold Park, the form of the Picnic and Shade Shelters takes its cue from the faceted rock that forms a linear background. The group of shelters become part of their surroundings and an extension of the rock escarpment itself.
