Ciaran joined TZG in 2021, bringing 15 years’ experience in public, cultural, heritage, single and multi-residential, commercial interior projects, as well as joinery and furniture design. As a key member of our design team, he has considerable expertise and skills across all phases, from concept design through to documentation and delivery. Ciaran has worked with Indigenous communities in Western Australia, taught design at the University of Western Australia and most recently has worked on the Art Gallery of New South Wales refurbishment, documentation for Oxford Street Hotel and conservation works for the Sydney Park Brick Kilns.

Senad has been an integral member of the TZG team since he joined in 2004. He was responsible for the initial set up and development of financial and management reporting systems that have formed the basis for qualitative and timely management decisions. He also established and developed procedures for project costing and created solutions to reduce company expense and increase profit margin. Consistently analysing and monitoring TZG’s financial health to ensure, with the management, that the company maintains its long term financial stability, Senad is invaluable to TZG’s growth.

Dr. Tim Greer is a founding Director of TZG. His work spans architecture, interior design, master planning, urban design, design management, research and advocacy, and he treats each project as an opportunity to create fresh contemporary forms, using current construction techniques. Multi-award winning projects under Tim Greer’s directorship combine urban renewal with new cultural uses, including Campbell House Private Office, Carriageworks Contemporary Arts Centre, Scots Church Apartment Redevelopment, Paddington Reservoir Gardens, The Glasshouse: Arts Conference and Entertainment Centre, Bennelong Restaurant, and the Kensington St Precinct including The Old Clare Hotel. More recently, Tim’s experience has earned him commissions to design the Central Station Renewal Precinct Masterplan and The Vision and Future Framework for the Darlinghurst Gaol. Tim is currently an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at Sydney University and holds a Doctorate in Architecture and Design from RMIT in Melbourne.

Prior to joining TZG, Billi worked on a number of residential projects at Casey Brown Architecture as well as larger projects such as Orange Regional Gallery and the Riverside Theatres Business Case at Architect Marshall in collaboration with Scott Carver Architects. She has gained experience working on various submissions for large competitions working on the initial client briefing and concept design phase through to design development and documentation. Billi has a strong interest in design and research having completed a Bachelor of Design and a Masters in Sustainability prior to studying Architecture. Billi is currently working on the Oxford Street Hotel project that is currently in construction.

Jarrod is an experienced and highly awarded architect and expert in design, coordination and construction administration. Jarrod’s in-depth technical skills and construction knowledge allow him to oversee large complex and challenging projects. He has gathered extensive on-site experience and a track record of building strong working relationships with clients, consultants and contractors. Before joining TZG in 2011, Jarrod worked on the highly awarded Saffire Resort in Tasmania, where he developed an interest in hotel design. Since joining TZG he has been Project Architect for The Old Clare Hotel, the award-winning Bayanami Public School and he has contributed significantly to the high profile Randle Street Hotel. He is currently Project Architect for the 25 Hours Hotel Sydney.

Jeremy’s experience spans a range of sectors, from commercial office towers to community buildings. Since joining TZG in 2002, Jeremy has been Project Lead on several significant projects, including the award-winning National Centre for Indigenous Excellence, Adelaide Riverbank Pedestrian Bridge and the Wyong Arthouse, where he saw each project through from design to construction. More recently, he was Project Lead for the major upgrade and refurbishment of UNSW Roundhouse and the temporary rehearsal space for Bangarra Dance at Barangaroo. His primary focus is cultural buildings and spaces, seen in his role as assistant Project Lead for the Carriageworks Contemporary Performing Arts Centre.

Following her graduation from the University of Sydney, Sophie joined TZG in 2019. Before studying Architecture, Sophie completed a degree in Fine Arts majoring in sculpture and installation and was awarded scholarships to study Art in France and Architecture in Denmark. Interested in civic and cultural projects that enhance public space, Sophie has a creative and thoughtful approach to design and was an integral part of the documentation and delivery team for the highly awarded Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. She then worked on the Art Gallery of NSW refurbishment and is the project lead for the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct Public Domain project.

Nazia is experienced in leading projects from concept design, through to documentation and construction, and has extensive on-site experience, as well as strong working relationships with clients, consultants and contractors. Nazia joined TZG in 2010 and has a particular interest in Interior Design, working on the interiors for the Old Clare Hotel and the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. She was the Project Architect on 75 Myrtle Street, which won the John Verge Interior Architecture Award in 2018, and was Project Architect for the highly awarded Campbell House project, which won the AIDA 2023 Premier Award for Interior Design Award for Sustainability Advancement and Award for Workplace Design. She is currently the Project Architect for Soho House Sydney and Randle Street Hotel.

Rowan joined TZG in 2021 after graduating from the University of Technology Sydney where he researched the relationship between computational analysis and long-term sustainable design for Australia’s cemeteries. He is interested in the long term life-cycles of buildings, understanding how they can continue to serve the community after their initial purpose, and what happens to materials that are no longer needed. At TZG, he has been an integral member of the competition team working on the Powerhouse Ultimo, Riyadh Gateway and RPA Hospital Redevelopment, as well as working on the concept design for Minarah College. He was Project Lead for UTS Design School Studios, delivered Odyssey House on-site and is currently working on the documentation of Queensgate, Ballamac House. Rowan teaches Architectural Design, History & Theory subjects at the UTS Architecture School.

Kevin is responsible for the coordination and technical delivery of digital design modelling on major projects. Since 2015, he has helped to resolve BIM design issues and coordinate with consultants to ensure successful project delivery and model integrity by coordinating consultant data exchanges of the 3D model and supporting files. Kevin also helps to generate 6D (ESD) documentations and certifications, and heads up TZG’s rendering team, producing photorealistic 3D renderings, animations and virtual 3D representations. Kevin’s technical oversight ensures that team members are up-to-date with the latest software capabilities and implementations.

Since joining TZG in 2017, Adam has been the Design Manager for the Circular Quay Renewal Project working alongside TCL, Arup and Transport for New South Wales. In this role, Adam delivered the Design Vision Masterplan for the renewal of Circular Quay which aimed to realise its full potential as Australia’s premier waterfront precinct, and largest transport interchange. Adam led the Art Gallery of NSW Edmund and Joanna Capon Research Library and National Art Archive that won the 2023 AIA NSW Architecture Award for Public Architecture. Adam continues to leads all projects at the Art Gallery of NSW, requiring him to oversee projects from masterplan, feasibility, through design and documentation, to construction and post-contract services, all within a live public art gallery. Adam is also Project Lead on Tresco and the Brett Whiteley Studio. Beyond his project work, Adam leads the TZG Communications and Marketing team and has developed and delivered TZG’s new brand, website and collateral with M35. He has a particular interest in business development, strategy and procurement.

Felicity joined TZG from Welsh and Major in 2022, bringing a range of experience and enthusiasm and a particular interest in working with complex and bespoke projects. Felicity studied in the Netherlands and Germany and graduated with a masters degree from the University of Sydney in 2020, after completing a thesis on the importance of sacred spaces in modern cities. Interested in how existing buildings can be reused, adapted and celebrated in original and new contexts, her experience spans public spaces and private homes, where she develops relationships with the clients to create spaces that directly impact their quality of life. A collaborative designer who enjoys seeing her work come to life, Felicity enjoys the complexities and excitement of having projects on site. Since joining the TZG team, she has worked across projects such as Randle Street Hotel, Soho House and the Art Gallery of NSW refurbishment.

Regina is a knowledgeable and accomplished architect. She has been Project Architect on projects ranging from performing arts spaces and cultural buildings to educational facilities and mixed-use developments. Regina was Project Architect on the Sydney Opera House Front of House Renewal, including the Yallamundi Rooms and the multi-award-winning Glasshouse Arts and Conference Centre and the Art House in Wyong. The success of these projects demonstrates her ability to cultivate truly inspirational places where the arts can thrive in both civic and regional NSW. Regina also led the Design Excellence award-winning Oatley Railway Station Upgrade, the New Senior Campus at St. Luke’s Grammar School, and the NSW Parliament House Rum Hospital which is currently under construction. Regina currently leads the TZG Sustainability Group and works with our in-house quality management team on QMS review and strategy. Regina joined TZG in 2006 and strives to build visionary places that continue to give back to the community, with sustainable design solutions guiding her practice.

Isabella’s experiences encompasses a multitude of project types, ranging from workplace, public buildings, residential, education, masterplanning and health. Isabella is particularly interested in the intersections between architecture and its surrounding disciplines. Todd has developed his experience in residential, multi-residential and commercial architecture into complex and bespoke buildings in Education, Civic, Cultural, Heritage and Interiors. Actively engaged in all project phases, Todd values client, stakeholder and consultant relationships, prioritising listening and responding to needs, goals and objectives. Todd was Project Architect for The Athenaeum Wenona School project, which required extensive construction and detailing knowledge, together with the ability to manage client and contractor expectations. Currently Project Architect on the Minerva Theatre in Potts Point, and Ballamac Apartments.

Rogers expertise in managing and producing Contract Documentation and the administration of Building Contracts is invaluable to TZG. Since 1994, Roger has been responsible for contract documentation for large scale complex projects including the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Building in Canberra valued at $170m and the award winning $120m refurbishment of the Head Office of the Commonwealth Bank at 48 Martin Place, Sydney, where he was also Superintendent during construction. He was appointed as Superintendent for the construction and contract finalisation of the Australian Commonwealth Office at 487 Pitt Street, Sydney and also recently worked closely to deliver such projects as the St. Lukes Grammar School, the Wenona Archimedes Project, the Taronga Zoo Savannah & Congo enclosures, the Bondi Pavilion Refurbishment and the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct.

Prior to joining, Roger was a senior architect with Australian Construction Services and has over fifty years’ experience in quality management and is continually updating his skillset to meet current standards and achieve best QMS practices.

Albie’s appreciation of historical sites and monuments drives her heritage conservation work. She has over a decade of experience in design, documentation and project management with a particular focus on heritage conservation advice, the preparation of heritage impact statements, conservation work schedules, and overseeing heritage works during the construction phase. Since joining TZG in 2021, Albie has worked closely with TZG Heritage to further developed her knowledge and expertise in heritage conservation with a focus on adaptive reuse, materials conservation and fabric analysis and has completed her Master of Heritage Conservation at the University of Sydney.

Dr Peter Tonkin is a founding director of Tonkin Zulaikha Greer and one of Australia’s most awarded architects. His work spans small to large scale, regional to civic, multi-faceted public projects, urban planning and adaptive reuse to educational facilities and collaborative art installations. Peter embeds environmental and social sustainability into all that he does, and has volunteered work to successful affordable housing schemes, carried out complex urban projects such as the multi-award-winning Walsh Bay Arts Precinct and designed iconic structures such as the Lighting Towers for Sydney’s 2000 Olympic Games. Recent projects such as the revitalisation of Art Gallery of NSW and the refurbishment of UNSW Roundhouse demonstrate Peter Tonkin’s critical insight to the revival of the buildings that define our city’s contemporary life and aesthetic, and so preserving our built heritage.

Elena is interested in using design to shape cultural and public spaces and the relationship between art and architecture within these contexts. Drawn to the way architecture comes to meet existing conditions of site, both material and immaterial, she also has a keen interest in heritage environments and the possibilities of adaptive reuse. Elena completed a degree in Fine Arts with First Class Honours majoring in painting from The National Art School (Sydney) and after joining TZG in 2021, has worked on the Registrar General’s Building and the Griffin Theatre Redevelopment. Elena continues her own artistic practice outside the studio and is the co-director of artists-run initiative, Lilac City Studios.

Since joining TZG in 2015, Ksenia has worked on several large scale urban development projects spanning mixed use projects, including 18-32 Darlinghurst Road, Precinct 75 St Peters, Newcastle East End and Marrickville Hospital; through to Masterplans and urban design studies for Transport for NSW and City of Sydney; and several commercial bids including urban design and architecture for the mixed use Wattle Street Precinct Ultimo. Ksenia has experience in civic, education and urban design projects, most notably the award winning Helensvale Library and Community, Cultural and Youth Centre for Gold Coast City Council, Bowen Place Crossing for National Capital Authority and the Wallace Wurth Redevelopment for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales. Ksenia devotes part of her time to the Australian Institute of Architects. She was President of The Emerging Architects & Graduates Network (EmAGN) of the Institute in 2016/17, and is a member of the National Digital Transformation Steering Group and the Large Practice Forum. In 2020, she was awarded the prestigious Institute of Architects Dulux Study Tour.

Anton has experience in complex infrastructure and public projects. Since joining TZG in 2012, Anton has worked across a wide range and scale of projects including the Arthouse in Wyong, Harold Park Open Space in Glebe, the Reserve Bank of Australia interior refurbishment, Oatley Railway Station accessibility upgrade for Transport for NSW and the National Arboretum Canberra Better Infrastructure Masterplan. Anton has been involved in the award winning Walsh Bay Arts Precinct project and the refurbishment and upgrade of The Roundhouse at the University of NSW, which won a 2019 NSW Award for Sustainable Architecture and was shortlisted for a National Award in 2019. Anton has also worked in collaboration with Fitzpatrick + Partners architects on the 60 Martin Place competition and was part of the team on the high-profile Parramatta Square public domain design, Bondi Pavilion Restoration and Conservation Project and the Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway options study for NSW Roads and Maritime.

After completing her Masters of Architecture, Camilla joined TZG in 2012. She has a keen interest in complex, bespoke projects. Camilla has experience leading projects from concept design, through to documentation and construction stages. She was one of the Project Architects for the Front of House Upgrades to the Sydney Opera House. Prior to this she worked extensively on the design and execution of the Virgin Australia domestic airport lounges across the country. Most recently, she was the site Architect for Campbell House, which won the Premier Award for Australian Interior Design. Camilla was also instrumental in TZG projects including Railway Square Masterplan for the City of Sydney, University of Newcastle University Club Feasibility Study, as well as several residences for private clients.

Angela is currently completing her Master of Architecture. She is interested in narrative architecture that speaks to both the historical and contemporary urban fabric, and appreciates design that focuses on atmosphere and user experience for an embodied response to site, context and brief. As part of her degree, Angela travelled to Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux and Dunkirk for a travelling design studio with Sydney University. Here she worked alongside Anne Lacaton and Jean-Phillipe Vassal, learning about adaptive reuse of social housing and warehouse conversions. Part of the TZG team since 2021, she recently worked on Wylde Street Apartments, Sydney Park Brick Kilns, and Walsh Bay Public Domain.

Calum completed his Masters with the AIA NSW Graduate Medal and Graduate of the Year Award at UTS. Before joining TZG in 2022, Calum worked for Junya Ishigami + Associates in Japan, Rainer Spehl (Acclaimed Independent Furniture Designer) in Berlin, and Neeson Murcutt + Neille in Sydney. He is fascinated by materials and composition, which stems from his upbringing surrounded by photography and textile design. Interested in the Architectural Drawing and its ability to communicate an idea before it is built, Calum has taught Communications and Architectural Theory at UTS Architecture School. He is currently working on the remediation of Parliament of NSW Rum Hospital, the oldest public building in Sydney. Demonstrating his capacity to work on complex projects that require detailed problem solving, he has since taken over the coordination of construction on site.

Brian is a founding partner of Tonkin Zulaikha Greer. Before its establishment in 1987, his experience ranged from the Singapore Superior Courts Complex to the design and documentation of a number of high rise office buildings. Brian ran the design management of the highly successful Bicentennial refurbishment of the whole of Circular Quay in Sydney, including retail strategy and liaison with all stakeholders, Government Authorities and unions. Since forming TZG, successful projects, such as the Carriageworks at Eveleigh and the Scots Church Apartments, represent Brian’s commitment to quality outcomes. He maintains a special interest in the integration of art and architecture and a commitment to producing architecture that is of its time and fuses a sensitive contemporary approach with functional and pragmatic requirements. This is exemplified in the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence and the Black Theatre Site in Redfern and Brian’s own house, completed in early 2007 which won the RAIA National Award for Residential Architecture (Houses).
