Elena is interested in using design to shape cultural and public spaces and the relationship between art and architecture within these contexts. Drawn to the way architecture comes to meet existing conditions of site, both material and immaterial, she also has a keen interest in heritage environments and the possibilities of adaptive reuse. Elena completed a degree in Fine Arts with First Class Honours majoring in painting from The National Art School (Sydney) and after joining TZG in 2021, has worked on the Registrar General's Building and the Griffin Theatre Redevelopment. Elena continues her own artistic practice outside the studio and is the co-director of artists-run initiative, Lilac City Studios.
