Bundanon Artist in Residence Complex

  • Name Bundanon Artist in Residence Complex
  • Client Bundanon Trust
  • Location Illaroo, NSW
  • Year 1995 - 1998

The Bundanon Artist in Residence Complex includes both artist residences and workshop studios, set against the rural beauty of the Southern Highlands. This project required a mix of adaptive reuse, structural enhancement and the construction of a new building sympathetic to the existing fabric.

TZG along with Spackman + Mossop Landscape Architects completed a strategic plan for the development of the Bundanon properties, facilitating maximum results with minimum intervention.

The existing farm buildings provided the design framework. This required specific slight works, such as removing internal walls and the addition of a new wing.
