The St Luke’s Senior School design transforms the existing heritage building to create a thriving hub and an exciting future for its students. Accommodating 800 senior college students, the project will be vertically linked across two sites; the main school spaces will be situated within the Pittwater Road building, while the sport and parking facilities will be on the Headland Road site.

The building was an innovative factory built for Top Dog Menswear and won the NSW Sulman Award for Public Architecture in 1950. Our proposal retains and conserves significant heritage elements whist adapting the building for its demanding new use.

Aiming for 5 Star sustainability, a noise barrier will block sound from Pittwater Road, while landscaping provides a soft edge between the road and school. Skylights create a bright interior, carrying natural light into key learning and gathering spaces.
