The heritage-listed 1878 mansion ‘Llandilo’ has served as a school since the 1920s and is now the heart of Trinity’s Strathfield K-6 campus. A long series of additions from the late 60s to the 90s has resulted in a complex with 7 different floor levels across the 3 storey building, creating spaces that were not intuitive to navigate and had poor accessibility. TZG undertook a masterplanning process, including complete renewal of the Year 5 and 6 spaces, adding three new STEM/STEAM labs and resolving accessibility.

A new stair and lift, as well as clear sight-lines through the newly open teaching spaces, make navigation around the building clear, intuitive, and equitable.

Throughout the project, the material palette has been carefully selected to provide enduring and timeless interiors and exteriors, which complement the heritage of ‘Llandilo’ and form a setting for the activity and learning of the students to shine.
