The Sydney Fish Market masterplan is a creative redesign of Blackwattle Bay. The proposed scheme takes inspiration from the Gadigal term “Tubowgule” which translates to “The magical meeting place made by the coming together of salt and fresh water”. This translation zone is rich in marine life as the habitat provides resources for both land and water. The design proposes the concept of the Frayed Edge, enabling generous public engagement with the harbour.
