The ambitious proposal to transform the 24-hectare area in the coming two decades is outlined in an initial master plan. This redevelopment project is to become the most significant urban renewal endeavor in central Sydney since the transformation of Barangaroo, which redefined a prominent section of public land situated on the western fringe of the CBD.
