Green Square Integrated Community Center and School

  • Name Green Square Integrated Community Center and School
  • Client NSW Department of Education, The City of Sydney
  • Country Gadigal
  • Location Green Square, NSW
  • Year 2019

The building is a direct response to its brief and context, clearly expressing its public role and its innovative union of community and education. The building is a carefully-articulated composition of three elements: a robust brick pavilion, encircling framed transparent mesh volumes and a suite of sculptural green concrete forms that define the vertical connections. Creating a responsive, civic presence – both a ‘good neighbour’ and a landmark public asset.
