The Fort Street site is constrained by the circular cutting of the Cahill Expressway ramp to the Bradfield Highway and Harbour Bridge. It is of special significance to the history of education in NSW as it is the site of the first ‘National School’ in the state and possibly the nation. Our proposal bridges the Expressway cutting to extend the school site. The heritage buildings are retained, and new buildings are provided to accommodate 1,000 students.
