Two owners having separately searched for larger houses, joined together to renovate and transform the “back end” of their pair of Bondi semi-detached houses. To the street, the renovation has a gable roof form following the line of the existing building, whilst to the rear the roof has been inverted to form a butterfly, creating dramatic spaces and increased daylight.
