TZG, in collaboration with artist Janet Laurence, won this project through a limited design competition conducted by the Australian Government. The Memorial commemorates the efforts of Australian Services, allied with those of Great Britain, in the two World Wars.

Located at Hyde Park Corner, the project required consent from 37 statutory authorities and was undertaken in 11 months from the announcement of the competition win until its opening by HM Queen Elizabeth II on Remembrance Day 2003.
